Founded in early 2024, SSEW Project (pronounced "sew") is a contemporary art gallery based in Markham, Ontario, with primary focus on contemporary works engaging with Asian culture and experience. For us, "Asian" is not a fixed category. It is a perspective, a particular way of seeing and moving through the world, and it shapes everything from the artists we work with to the conversations we invite.
Embracing its namesake, we connect artists, collectors, and audiences to stitch together diverse cultural and perspectives into a vibrant, evolving narrative within the global contemporary art landscape.
